Little deformation thanks to arc spraying (LDS)
An electric arc is generated between the workpiece and the spray wire. This melts the material of the spray arc, i.e. the zinc-aluminum alloy, at around 4000 ° C. Extremely small particles are created that are blown onto the workpiece at a constant speed.
With this process, the temperature of the workpiece remains below 100 ° C, which means that it is hardly deformed.
The layer thickness is normally around 60 μm.
